Before you buy an airsoft gun, you need to learn exactly what the laws are around the planet, your state, and for people outside the United States, your state. For example, in Massachusetts, it is illegal for anyone except the child’s parents to offer an airsoft gun: Grandparents, aunts, or uncles go to jail if they buy one and give it to a child. In most cities, it is illegal to shoot any airsoft gun with a BB gun, so shooting in the backyard is illegal.
